Christopher Brewer
Overview
Chris Brewer is one of the founding partners of Gardner Brewer Hudson. His practice primarily involves sophisticated commercial business and real estate transactions and matters. His practice focuses in the areas of real estate development, leasing and finance, and corporate and business matters, including general business counseling, mergers and acquisitions, private securities offerings and venture capital financings.
In his real estate practice, Chris represents developers, investors, landlords and tenants in real estate development, financing, joint venture and leasing matters, and lenders and borrowers in all aspects of real estate finance and loan transactions. His areas of practice include development projects from inception to end for a broad spectrum of uses, including land, life-sciences, retail, multifamily, office, industrial and mixed-use developments and properties, acquisition and disposition transactions, structuring joint ventures and all structures of real estate finance. Chris is board certified as a Real Estate Law Specialist by The Florida Bar.
In his business and corporate practice, Chris represents clients ranging from individuals to small and large private corporations and other business entities in connection with a wide variety of transactions and business activities. Chris has extensive experience in business formations and serving as counsel in merger and acquisition transactions and asset and stock sales in a variety of industries, and representing issuers in venture capital and private equity transactions. Chris also routinely advises businesses and individuals in connection with corporate and shareholder governance matters and disputes.
Prior to founding his own firm, Chris was with Foley & Lardner LLP, practicing in the firm’s Business Law Department and both its Real Estate Practice Group and Transactional & Securities Practice Group. Prior to that, Chris was an associate with Fowler White Gillen Boggs Villareal & Banker, P.A.
Chris was born and raised in Tampa and graduated from Jesuit High School. He is active in several Bay Area civic, charitable and social organizations. Chris spends his leisure time with his wife and two young daughters, and often Chris can be found running, cycling or watching sports.
