Director of entitlements

Alex Schaler, P.E.

Overview

Alex began her career as a Civil Engineering Analyst at Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. where she spent four and a half years managing a vast array of tasks and duties directly related to civil engineering. She has had success completing a wide variety of land development projects, from commercial retail to mixed-use developments including residential, office, and hotel uses. She is adept at all aspects of the land development process, from entitlement and development services to design, permitting, and construction phase services.

Although she is skilled in civil engineering and design, her true passion lies in the entitlements portion of a project and thus she has decided to expand upon her extensive rezoning portfolio and grow an entitlements practice that encompasses a wide array of the Tampa Bay area.

Alex received her B.S. Civil Engineering degree from Florida State University where she majored in Civil/Environmental Engineering and has since become a licensed Civil Engineer in the state of Florida.

She is involved in a variety of organizations in the Tampa Bay community, including Urban Land Institute, where she served as the Young Leader’s Group (YLG) Chair for two years, on the management committee as well as the membership committee. She is actively involved in a host of other real estate cohorts in the Tampa Bay area including the Real Estate Investment Council (REIC) and the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP).

Alex lives in South Tampa with her German Shorthaired Pointer, Hux, and enjoys writing, Pilates, cheering on the Noles, and spending time with friends and family.
