Tara B. Koch joined Gardner Brewer Martinez-Monfort as a consulting attorney in May 2011. In this role, she provides counsel in the areas of real estate law and financing matters for a variety of Gardner Brewer Martinez-Monfort clients.
Tara has more than 10 years of experience, most recently with Hill Ward Henderson in Tampa, Florida, where she was part of the Real Estate Group and provided counsel for a variety of transactions involving both commercial real estate and corporate matters. These included real property purchase and sale agreements, land development, leasing, brokerage agreements, financing and general real estate law matters.
Prior to Hill Ward Henderson, Tara spent five years in the political arena, serving as the scheduling director for the Florida United Democratic campaign effort in the 1996 election cycle. Before that, she worked her way through the ranks, serving as a White House intern, an administrative assistant to the ’92 Clinton/Gore campaign, and a special assistant to the political director to the President in 1993.
She is a member of The Florida Bar and a regular volunteer with Florida Board of Bar Examiners. She has also been awarded the “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest designation by the leading lawyer rating service.
Tara earned her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and received her law degree from Stetson University College of Law. She is a member of Palma Ceia Presbyterian Church, Tampa Yacht and Country Club. She lives in Tampa with her family.
